Dunlop EP101 Echoplex pedale effetto preamplificatore e overdrive per chitarra ricrea fedelmente il timbro magico del preamp EP-3, con un solo stadio FET proprio come l'originale e lo stesso percorso del segnale. Echoplex Preamp
ECHOPLEX PREAMP
• The EP-3's legendary tone conditioning mojo in a Phase 90-sized box
• Adds up to +11dB of gain
• Light overdrive at higher levels
• True Bypass
Back in the 1960s, the Echoplex tape echo units set the delay effect standard. When the Echoplex EP-3 came out, guitar players quickly loved the way its preamp sweetened up their sound. Soon, the EP-3 was being used as much for its tone enhancing quality as for its tape echo effect. Numerous guitar players—from Jimmy Page to Eddie Van Halen to Eric Johnson—have recorded with the EP-3 just for its preamp .
The EP101 Echoplex Preamp faithfully recreates the magic of the EP-3's front end and puts its legendary tone-conditioning sound right at your feet. The EP101 is equipped with a Field-effect Transistor (FET) just like the original and follows the exact same signal path as the EP-3. The Gain control allows you to boost your signal by up to +11dB, with light symmetrical clipping at higher settings for a bit of nice organic grit.
The Echoplex Preamp runs on standard 9-volt power and contains power management circuitry to guarantee constant headroom performance throughout the normal life of a 9-volt battery. For increased signal dynamics and tonal complexity, the EP101 can accept as much as 25 volts of external power. With a heavy-duty Phase 90-sized housing, a replica EP-3 knob, true bypass switching and a status LED, the Echoplex Preamp is as ready for the road as it is the recording studio.
