Impulse è un controller USB-MIDI di Novation con drum pad retroilluminati e controllo totale della DAW e dei plug-in disponibile in versioni a tastiera da 25, 49 e 61 tasti. Oltre alla tastiera di precisione, ai drum pad e alla superficie di controllo completa, Impulse viene fornito con la nuova versione 4 del pluri-premiato software Automap, che in un istante vi mette a disposizione il pieno controllo dei parametri della DAW e dei plug-in, sia interni che di terze parti. La tastiera è semi-pesata con aftertouch e garantisce un’ottima risposta al tocco, mentre gli 8 drum pad sono retroilluminati per consentirvi di suonare beat, modificare arpeggi e lanciare clip in tempo reale in Ableton Live. I drum pad hanno 3 colori che indicano lo stato attuale della clip che controllano, esattamente come il Launchpad: un pad giallo indica che la clip è caricata, un pad verde indica che la clip è in riproduzione mentre un pad rosso indica che la clip è in registrazione. Impulse può essere alimentato via USB oppure utilizzando un adattatore USB di alimentazione.
