Powered Mixers

If you have passive audio speakers, meaning without an internal amplifier, there are two options: one is to equip yourself with an amplifier or an external power amplifier and then a passive mixer; the other option involves the use of a powered mixer.

What are the advantages of a powered mixer? Certainly, the main advantage offered by such mixers is having fewer cables to connect and less equipment to transport since the power amplifier is included inside the mixer. What you need to evaluate are the output powers. Generally, to avoid increasing the size of the mixer and also for overheating issues, the audio powers offered are never excessive and are always within a certain range.
