Diatonic Accordion

The selection available on our online store allows you to choose from the most common tunings, and some accordions also allow you to take advantage of a double tuning for greater versatility.

At a quick glance, these instruments might seem like accordions, but in reality, they use the same principle in terms of sound production due to the bellows and the movement required to move the air. However, they are actually completely different instruments if we analyze the types of tuning and the harmonic and melodic possibilities they offer.

Diatonic accordions are tuned according to predetermined diatonic scales which can be one or two. The keyboard is generally button-based, and the basses are determined based on the key in which the instrument is tuned. Their use is widespread in folk and traditional music.
